Google+ The Introverted Reader: My Weekly (Google) Reader Roundup

My Weekly (Google) Reader Roundup

Sunday, February 28, 2010

I keep meaning to share some of the posts I've come across and enjoyed over the week with you, and I keep losing track of them. I would like this to be a weekly feature, but we'll see if that happens. My follow-through in general is good but not great. Anyway, here are some posts I've really enjoyed for the week of Feb 21-27.

Author Gail Carriger has a post up about--well, this is what she says: "One of my favorite things to do is take vampires and werewolves and make them responsible for the most unexplainable facts and ridiculous minutia of the ancient world." It was a small but funny part of her book, and it made for a snort-inducing post. If you haven't read her book, Soulless, you need to.

The Oatmeal posted 10 Reasons to Avoid Talking on the Phone. I hate the phone, so, um, yeah.... I've done everything on the list, which just made it funnier.

Misguided Cajun Bookworm posted Funny Metaphors Used in High School Essays. Hilarious! A ballerina=a dog at a fire hydrant. Loved it!

StephTheBookworm posted My Journey as a Reader, a bit of an homage to those childhood authors who turned her into the reader she is today. I think we all can relate to that one.

Natalie at Mindful Musings posted her reasons for having affiliate relationships with other blogs.

Parajunkee Design released some new site designs. They're all fantastic, but this link goes to my favorite.

Tempting Persephone spotlighted a piece of art that I think is beautiful in her I ♥ This Art feature.

And finally, just because it's cute,

funny pictures of dogs with captions
see more dog and puppy pictures

Have you found any posts you'd like to share?
