Raidergirl3 at An Adventure In Reading would like to know where your reading has taken you this week.
I'm just about to start Bite Me by Christopher Moore, the third in his vampire love story trilogy. These are all set in San Francisco, a city I would recommend visiting. We were there in October and had a great time!
We'll make it a two-fer. What's San Francisco without the Golden Gate Bridge?
MizB at Should Be Reading would like a teaser. I'll go with the first two sentences of Bite Me.
The City of San Francisco is being stalked by a huge, shaved vampyre cat named Chet, and only I, Abby Normal, emergency backup mistress of the Greater Bay Area night, and my manga-haired love monkey, Foo Dog, stand between the ravenous monster and a bloody massacre of the general public. Which isn't, like, as bad as it sounds, because the general public kind of sucks ass.
I adore Abby Normal. She just cracks me up! I'm sure that you either love her or hate her though. The same goes for Christopher Moore. If the teaser sounds good to you, I highly recommend his books!
Oh, what the heck. I can't resist. Let's make this a multi-sensory experience. Here's "Save Me, San Francisco" by Train.
Where has your reading taken you this week? Do you have a teaser to share?
