What Are You Reading?/In My Mailbox Monday

Monday, May 3, 2010

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is hosted by Sheila at Book Journey.

I had a pretty good week last week.

The Girl Who Chased the Moon by Sarah Addison Allen
Moon Called by Patricia Briggs
Serena by Ron Rash

Read, Review Needs to be Posted
Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater
Forbidden Sea by Sheila A. Nielson
Alex Van Helsing: Vampire Rising by Jason Henderson
Thumb Flagging by Jerome Peterson

Currently Reading
Muse and Reverie by Charles de Lint--Short stories by my favorite author!
I believe The Rise of Renegade X by Chelsea Campbell should be on its way to me as part of an ARC tour, so I'll probably also squeeze that one in this week.

I decided to join in In My Mailbox, hosted by The Story Siren and Mailbox Monday, hosted by The Printed Page, for the first time this week. I got several goodies!

I ordered and received these from Better World Books:

Imperium: A Novel of Ancient Rome by Robert Harris
Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris
Dragon Wing by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman
Gods and Generals by Jeff Shaara
The Bookseller of Kabul by ├ůsne Seierstad

From Princess Bookie's Around the World Tours, I was able to borrow Alex Van Helsing: Vampire Rising by Jason Henderson.

What did you read this week? Did you get anything in your mailbox?

  1. Looks like you had a great reading week. I have Shiver on my tbr list. Enjoy all your new books!

  2. I am a big fan of Better World Books - I generally select them when I order from

David Sedaris is great - Me Talk Pretty One Day is one of his books that I have not read yet.

  3. Imperium interests me. I like fiction about ancient Rome.

  4. Great Reviews on The Girl who Chased the Moon and Moon Called.

Can't wait to see what you think of Alex Van Helsing and Shiver

I haven't heard of Charles de Lint or Chelsea Campbell.

    I love David Sedaris!

    Great Monday for you!

  5. Excellent mailbox. I have ordered from BWB, too. Enjoy! :-)

Here's a look at my mailbox:

  6. I'm glad you are doing MM, because now I found your blog!

Me Talk Pretty One Day is my favorite Sedaris. Enjoy!

Here is my MM list on Rose City Reader.

  7. I was so thrilled when I read through Shutter Island in two days. It's stunning to me how many books some folks can get through in such a short period of time! I wish that I had enough time in my life(time) to read as many books! :)

I have an award for you that I should have dropped off yesterday but I got so tired that I didn't wind up being able to find time!

  8. Isn't BWB the best?? :-)

Looking forward to your thoughts on the Sedaris book.

    Enjoy your week!

Thanks for taking the time to comment! Have a great day!
