What Are You Reading?/In My Mailbox Monday

Monday, May 10, 2010

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is hosted by Sheila at Book Journey.

This week was a pretty slow book week. I had a hard time settling into anything.

Finished:
Muse and Reverie by Charles de Lint. That review will be posted Wednesday.

Currently Reading:
The Rise of Renegade X by Chelsea Campbell
The Vision of Emma Blau by Ursula Hegi
Oh! I almost forgot! I am trying out audio books for the second or third time, so I'm listening to I Like You! Hospitality Under the Influence by Amy Sedaris also. She's funny, so she's keeping my attention pretty well so far.

Up Next:
I checked out Cleopatra's Daughter by Michelle Moran from the library, so I need to get to that soon.

What did you read this week? I hope you had better luck than I did!

In My Mailbox is hosted by The Story Siren. Mailbox Monday is hosted by The Printed Page.

I received The Confessions of Catherine de Medici by C.W. Gortner for review; The Rise of Renegade X by Chelsea Campbell from Traveling ARC Tours; and a Blogmania prize pack including some bookmarks, note cards, and Post-Its in my favorite colors from Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers. Thank you, Gina!

What did you get in your mailbox this week?

  1. You read and received some good books. How was the Rise of Renegade X? I saw this last week and wondered if I would like it.

I just listened to my first audio and definitely plan on getting some more soon. I really love listen to something on my way back and forth to work or to see my Dad on the weekends.

    Have a great week.

  7. I'm reading Roanoke: A Novel of Elizabethan Intrigue by Margaret Lawrence. I want to read both Gortner's and Moran's. I read Nefertiti last year and enjoyed it. Here's my Mailbox.

I have another book about Catherine de Medici sitting right beside me so I will have to check out your edition too. I love historical fiction and non-fiction. I am looking forward to reading what you think.

  12. I have heard good things about The Rise of Renegade X. I hope you are enjoying it.

I have Cleopatra's Daughter too. My sister loaned it to me recently and she has been putting pressure on me to read it soon. She has Moran's other Egyptian books but refuses to loan them to me until I finish the two books I currently have borrowed.

The Confessions of Catherine de Medici looks really good. I look forward to hearing what you think of it.

I hope you have a great week and are able to enjoy your books.
