Google+ The Introverted Reader: New Feature! Reading Rendezvous

New Feature! Reading Rendezvous

Sunday, June 13, 2010

I am blessed to live in a beautiful part of the world and to have the opportunity to visit other beautiful places fairly frequently. I've decided to feature locations that I find, either at home or on vacation, that are just asking me to grab a book, settle in and get reading!  This will be an irregular feature, but when I have a photo, I'll post it on Sunday.

First up--home! This is me reading in the hammock in my side yard. A summer evening, some shade, a beautiful view, a hammock, and a great book.  Does life get any better than that?   I live in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina. This photo was actually taken last year, and if you're wondering, I'm reading The Lincoln Lawyer by Michael Connelly.

  6. Wow, I'm pretty sure your yard is bigger than my whole apartment here in New York! You are indeed blessed to live in such a beautiful place.

I share Daria's appreciation of your hammock! My own reading spaces aren't half as picturesque, though I suppose as long as the book I happen to be reading at the time is good, it doesn't really matter. (Right? LOL!)

Oh, Jen, may I ask about your new badge? I think it's great, but it doesn't look like a Parajunkee design. Did you make it yourself? =D

    Cool idea for a feature.

  11. Oh, western NC? That is one area of the world I have on my list for retirement possibilities. If I can get there sooner, I have absolutely no problems with that! ;)

I can't wait to see other showcased rendezvous!

  12. Oh, what a lovely spot! I've been itching to go to the Carolinas, both north and south, for awhile. Ever since I've been reading books set there!
