The idea of the Hop is to network and find cool blogs you might not have found otherwise. Hop on over to Crazy-for-Books and join in the fun!
This week's question: What book are you dying to get your hands on, past, present or future?
That would be Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest by Stieg Larsson. They are the final books in their respective trilogies, both of which had terrible, horrible, no good, very bad cliffhangers. Not fair. But obviously effective. Larsson's book has been out a little while, but I'm number 80-something on the reserve list for it at my smallish library system. I'll also mention The Princess and Mr. Whiffle by Patrick Rothfuss, which reminds me that I've been waiting on the second book in his trilogy, Wise Man's Fear forever. Princess looks like a kid's book but they've made a huge point of saying that it isn't and it has something like three progressively darker endings to choose from. I'm curious.
I read practically anything fiction, but mostly fantasy, historical fiction, YA fantasy, and Southern lit. I host a meme every Thursday, Character Connection, where we spotlight our favorite characters, and would love to have you join in the fun! I recently passed 250 followers, so to celebrate that and my upcoming birthday, I'm having a big giveaway! You can win all three of Gail Carriger's books or four of my favorite historical fiction books. If Book Depository ships to you for free, you're eligible to win!
