Google+ The Introverted Reader: Reading Rendezvous

Reading Rendezvous

Sunday, August 22, 2010

I am blessed to live in a beautiful part of the world and to have the opportunity to visit other beautiful places fairly frequently. I've decided to feature locations that I find, either at home or on vacation, that are just asking me to grab a book, settle in and get reading!  This will be an irregular feature, but when I have a photo, I'll post it on Sunday.
Pearson's Falls in Tryon, NC is a beautiful waterfall that is very easy to get to. In this picture, I'm reading Revolution by Jennifer Donnelly. I liked it a lot! Look for my review when the book is released in October.

I have an affiliate relationship with IndieBound, Book Depository, and Better World Books and will receive a small commission at no cost to you if you purchase books through links on my site.

  1. Very nice! If I lived near such a nice spot, I'd certainly be reading there, too!

It's beautiful! =D I've never done my reading to the sound of running or falling water before (unless you count the rain, which I love!), but this looks like such a peaceful place to enjoy a book. =)

  3. This post reminded me that you too lie in NC. Are you near CHarlotte? There's a 5K fundraiser for the libraries here on Sept. 18 if you are. I'll be at the WNBA (Women's National Book Association) table. If you are there, please stop by and say hi!

  4. Thanks!

Enbrethiliel, I love the sound of the rain on the roof. I don't hear it as well in my house now, but when I was a single girl renting a mobile home, that was one of the big perks, the sound of the rain on the roof.

Carin, I'm up in the mountains, so I won't be down around Charlotte. Have fun at your fundraiser though!
