CLOSED--Helluva Halloween Character Connection Giveaway!

THIS GIVEAWAY ENDED. SEE THE WINNER HERE.

Helluva Halloween

Book Rat is hosting her Helluva Halloween event again! I wanted to get in on the action. So at the last minute, I contacted Misty and asked if I could host a giveaway like the one I hosted during Jane in June. She graciously agreed.

So here are the rules:
  • Contest begins Thursday, October 7
  • Write a post (non-bloggers can use each week's comments) about any character from a horror/thriller type novel OR a villain from any type of book.  I'm talking about the real baddies on that villain thing.  I know horror/thriller is a gray area, so if you think it's appropriate for Halloween, I'll count it.
  • Link up to my Character Connection post
  • You must link to my blog in your post and mention Character Connection
  • You'll gain an entry every week you do this, for a max of 4 entries
  • One winner will be chosen using random.org
  • Contest ends at 11:59 EST Saturday, October 30
  • You are eligible to win if you're over the age of 13 and if Book Depository ships to you free
Please do write a meaningful post.  It doesn't have to be a novel, but "I love Dracula!" just won't cut it when compared to people who write thoughtfully about why he's a great character.  I'm not a toughie, so use your best judgment on this one.

There won't be any forms to fill out or anything. I'll track it through the links.  Just make sure I can contact you through your blog or your profile.

    So what do you win?

A paperback copy of The Complete Tales and Poems of Edgar Allan Poe and an Edgar Allan Poe journal. The quote on the cover says, "Once upon a midnight dreary/while I pondered weak and weary."

I just don't think you can beat Poe for setting the atmosphere for October!

Start planning those posts!  The contest will begin next Thursday, October 7!

Be sure to follow along at Book Rat all next month too. She has tons of great posts and giveaways lined up!

I have an affiliate relationship with IndieBound, Book Depository, and Better World Books and will receive a small commission at no cost to you if you purchase books through links on my site.
