Product Review from CSN Stores

Monday, November 1, 2010

Some of you might remember that *ahem* almost two full months ago, I told you that I would be doing a product review for CSN Stores. At long last, I am making time to write the promised review!

I ordered a nice little side table with sort of a cabinet underneath with the idea that it might help me contain my blogging clutter. Tell me that I'm not the only one who ends up with stacks of books that need reviewing and scraps of paper strewn about with notes for reviews and author signings. Please?

Anyway, here's what my work space tends to look like.

Cluttered Couch

Can you see the stuff on that end table too?  This is actually pretty neat. You should see it now that I've been slacking on my reviews for a few weeks. Not pretty.  Not at all.

My one complaint about CSN is that it's almost too big. I can't put my finger on it, but something about the way I want to search and the way their site's search works don't match up all that well. Vague enough for you? I can't describe it any better than that.  But they really do have tons of stuff to choose from. You can spend hours looking around.

My package arrived quickly. I ordered it on September 16 and it arrived on September 25. Pretty good for furniture, especially considering that the shipping was free!

The piece was packaged well and nothing was damaged in transit. I have ordered furniture from other online stores and had the pieces arrived mangled. Undamaged is a huge plus for me.

The directions were clear and the piece was pretty easy to assemble. A couple of the holes hadn't been formed well, so I couldn't join pieces together, but I scraped away a little gunk and I was good to go. I don't remember how long it took me to assemble, but it can't have been more than an hour. The piece feels very sturdy, not like some other cheap furniture I've bought before. It turned out exactly as pictured on the site. It fits in with my other furniture perfectly, both in terms of the finish and the style.

Closed Side Table
The finished product.  My ugly, comfy recliner is right next to it, but you don't get to see that.  I even have my little mug warmer ready to go for my tea this winter!

Opened Side Table
All of that clutter from the first picture now neatly tucked away in my new little cabinet!  It's perfect for what I need it for!  My biggest problem is re-training myself to move from the couch to the bedroom.  Old habits die hard!

I love my little cabinet/side table and I do recommend CSN Stores.  Their selection is huge, their service is excellent, the shipping is fast, and their products are of good quality.

Agreed. Also, I find that when you use that little bar that sorts by price, it works for the first page, and then when you go to the 2nd it's back to $1,000 furniture.
