Fortune's Fool by Mercedes Lackey--This is another fun installment in the Five Hundred Kingdoms fairy tale series

Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer--Very intense, very readable non-fiction

The Roar by Emma Clayton--Fast-paced dystopian sci-fi for middle grade/YA boys and girls. And adults who like a good story.

The Gendarme by Mark Mustian--3 Stars

At Home: A Short History of Private Life by Bill Bryson--4 Stars

The Mischief of the Mistletoe by Lauren Willig--4 Stars

Adam & Eve by Sena Jeter Naslund--2 Stars

Currently Reading:
The History of Love by Nicole Krauss

The Zookeeper's Wife by Diane Ackerman

M is for Magic by Neil Gaiman--Attempting audio again, this time during my commute. So far, very good.

Up Next:
I've just barely started all of these, so it will be a while before I choose a new read. No idea what will be next!

  1. I'm reading Horse Goddess by Morgan Llywelyn. I've got about 150 pages left until it is done. I'm really liking it though so I hope my feelings keeps up until the end.

  7. The Roar caught my eye. I really enjoy a good dystopian novel and will have to check this one out. Also noticed you have Elizabeth Berg, who I am also a big fan of, but haven't read anything by her in a while. Hope you enjoy all your read this week!

    This is the first time i saw M is for Magic. I hope lical publisher will buy the book rights also.

  13. I was on the hold list for the Mischief of the Mistletoe for was supposed to be ready for pick up when I went to the library on Saturday, but somebody had mixed up the holds. I think now I'm just going to let it fall off the list...Too many books that need reading for 2011 Challenges!

    I read Into This Air several years ago and found it to be very intense and readable, too. An amazing story!

    I hope to start reading The History of Love in the next week or so. I'm really looking forward to it!
