Don’t you just love larger-than-life characters? The ones who jump off the page and grab you? Whether you love them or hate them, you can’t be indifferent to them. The Sugar Queen.
I would love to know about the characters who just won’t leave you! Most of you will probably post about how much you love (or loathe) each character, but this is a great place for the more creative ones among you to let go and have fun! Write yourself into a scene with Anne and Diana. Write a love poem in elvish for Aragorn. Draw a picture of Harry obliterating Voldemort. The possibilities are endless.
Be sure to post the book's title and author, and be very careful not to give away spoilers while talking about how much you love your characters.
Mr. Linky will be posted here on The Introverted Reader every Thursday.
Josey was a little brat as a child. She pitched temper tantrums so epic that the people of her small town are still talking about them now that she's an adult.
And there is Josey's problem.
She's grown, she's changed, but no one recognizes that, least of all her mom.
Josey has effectively put her own life on hold as she escorts her mom to various appointments and social functions. She's very quiet, so she tends to be overlooked at these events. When someone does notice her, they invariably comment on a tantrum she pitched back in the day. Nice, right?
And Josey starts listening. She's had enough. She finds the courage to start living her own life in the present and to force others to see her for who she is now. You have to admire her and cheer for her as she takes all this on. How many people, real or fictional, have the courage to change?
