Up Next:
I'm a little torn. I would like to read one more book for Banned Books Week (starting September 24), but I'm also ready to start on some spooky Halloween reads. And I just checked out The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick at the library. I don't know which direction I'll go!

What are you reading this week?

I have an affiliate relationship with Malaprop's, my local independent bookstore located in downtown Asheville, NC; and Better World Books. I will receive a small commission at no cost to you if you purchase books through links on my site.

  1. Did you listen to the Bloody Jack audio? I loved Curse of the Blue Tattoo on audio, it had me cracking up with laughter.

  2. I love John Steinbeck but I haven't read East of Eden. I'm looking forward to reading your review.
    My Monday:

  3. I need to continue the Bloody Jack series - soooo good!

  4. I think it's time to reread East of Eden! I did enjoy it....hope you do, too.

  5. I don't think I really appreciated East of Eden when I first read is one of those books I would like to reread someday. (Someday seems to keep getting farther and farther into the future!)

  6. You are doing real good. Keep it up. I am still in a reading vacuum regarding novels!!

Here is my Monday: Mailbox/What Are You Reading?/Musings post!

  7. East of Eden I read back in high school. I hope you're enjoying it. I'm reading three picture books a night with my children. That's making my list seem really long. I also got some longer books finished too. Please come see what I've read.

  8. I loved so much the Invention of Hugo Cabret! and you know the movie by Scorsese is coming out for Thanksgiving! see my review, including the trailer:
    Emma @ Words And Peace

  9. I agree- I love spooky reads, and I am itching to dive right into them as well! I compromised and I am reading The Witches - a banned book and a scary book too (well, if you are in elementary school...) :)

Thanks for taking the time to comment! Have a great day!
