European Reading Challenge

Rose City Reader is hosting the European Reading Challenge in 2012. The goal is to read 1-5 books written by a European OR set in Europe. There are prizes and different variations of the challenge. Visit Rose City Reader for more details and to sign up!

I'm doing the straightforward challenge and aiming for the Business Traveler level at 3 books. I'll track my progress here.
  1. Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor, read by Khristine Hvam (Czech Republic)
  2. Footsteps in the Dark by Georgette Heyer (UK)
  3. Madame Tussaud by Michelle Moran (France)
  4. The Prisoner of Heaven by Carlos Ruiz Zafón, translated by Lucia Graves (Spain)
  5. The Rose of Fire by Carlos Ruiz Zafón, translated by Lucia Graves (Spain)
  6. In the Garden of Beasts: Love, Terror, and an American Family in Hitler's Berlin by Erik Larson, read by Stephen Hoyer (Germany)
  7. The Weed That Strings the Hangman's Bag by Alan Bradley (UK)
I have an affiliate relationship with Malaprop's, my local independent bookstore located in downtown Asheville, NC; and Better World Books. I will receive a small commission at no cost to you if you purchase books through links on my site.

I joined the European Reading Challenge and I'm browsing a little through the participant's list. I'm very interested in what everyone's reading for the challenge so I will come back to learn more. Until then: Happy Reading!
