Review: Big Cherry Holler by Adriana Trigiani

Review: A Storm of Swords by George R. R. Martin

Character Connection featuring Frankie Bard from The Postmistress by Sarah Blake

Review: Queen of the Darkness by Anne Bishop

Fire by Kristin Cashore--Good, but I had a few complaints.

Currently Reading:
I'm (finally) finishing up the last story in Tales of H. P. Lovecraft.

I'm listening to The Sweet Potato Queens' First Big-Ass Novel: Stuff We Didn't Actually Do, but Could Have, and May Yet by Jill Conner Browne read by with Karin Gillespie, read by the author

Up Next:
I'll probably read Under the Tuscan Sun by Frances Mayes as my non-fiction pick. I really don't know what else I'll be in the mood for.

What are you reading this week?

  1. The Sweet Potato Queens book looks really cute :) Hope you enjoy!

  2. The Sweet Potato Queens sounds like a perfect pick to do audio on. I really enjoy listening to comedies vs. reading them.

  3. Fire is one that I want to read someday,

  4. I have The Sweet Potato Queens 1st Big Ass Novel on my shelf to be read - I just loved the title!

  5. Under the Tuscan Sun - such a favourite book of mine! makes me also want to run away there.

  6. Interesting list. Here is my list for this week.

  7. It's so difficult for me to focus and read at this time of the year. Under the Tuscan Sun sounds like a great choice for this busy time.

Here's my It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

  8. The books here sound great, especially The Sweet Potato Queen. I'm reading Joyce Carol Oates's BLONDE & Shel Silverstein's WHERE THE SIDEWALK ENDS. I've been reading these two for about 2 months now. I'm a slooooow reader ...

  9. Okay, love some of these titles, like The Sweet Potato Queens...etc.

Big Cherry Holler looks good, too; I've enjoyed several of Trigiani's books.

    Have a great week.

  10. I've read a lot of reviews of Fire that rave about it but I agree with you - it was good, just not great! I preferred Graceling, definitely.

I also have the first three of Martin's Songs of Ice and Fire series on my eReader but haven't got around to starting it yet...I really should do that so thanks for the reminder :)

  11. I read Under the Tuscan Sun about 8 years ago. I hope you enjoy it.

Finals week has kept me busy. Please come see what I'm reading.

Thanks for taking the time to comment! Have a great day!
