As soon as I finish this post, I'm going to start looking for a new audio book. Any suggestions? I need something light after The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks. I also need to get started on Still Alice by Lisa Genova for my book club. I'm not very excited about this one, to be honest. Give me a reason to look forward to it? Please?

What are you reading this week?

I have an affiliate relationship with Malaprop's, my local independent bookstore located in beautiful downtown Asheville, NC; and Better World Books. I will receive a small commission at no cost to you if you purchase books through links on my site.

  1. I finished a lot of books last week, but I didn't review anything. I will have a lot to catch up on when I finally get time to breathe this summer!

    Hope you'll stop by!

  2. I've been meaning to read Still Alice...and I also need to read her other book, Left's on my Kindle.

    Enjoy your week!

  3. Henrietta Lacks was such an interesting book. The parts about her family gave me real pause as I read about poverty in America and the science was fascinating (something I didn't expect)

  4. Two of my recent audiobooks, The Art of Fielding and The Invisible Ones were really good. I have not read Sill Alice, so I am of no help to you.

  5. The Immortal Life was so fantastic! Have a great week :)

  6. I liked Still Alice, and I also liked her other book, Left Neglected. Hope you can get into it.

    Have a great week!

  7. I loved Still Alice. I was fascinated by the way she put the reader into the mind of someone with Alzheimer's. It really is intriguing. I hope you enjoy it as well.

  8. I haven't read Still Alice so I can't help you there. Sorry. I have The Way of Shadows on my shelf. I haven't gotten to it yet. I look forward to your review.

  9. I don't listen to audio books so i am afraid I am no help!

    Have a great reading week!

  10. Loved the Henrietta Lacks book. A lighter follow up might be Daughter of Smoke & Bone which is fantastic on audio.

    1. Henrietta Lacks was my serious audio after Daughter of Smoke and Bone (which I agree was fantastic). We must be going in reverse!

Thanks for taking the time to comment! Have a great day!
