As soon as I finish this post, I'm going to start looking for a new audio book. Any suggestions? I need something light after The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks. I also need to get started on Still Alice by Lisa Genova for my book club. I'm not very excited about this one, to be honest. Give me a reason to look forward to it? Please?

What are you reading this week?

  3. Henrietta Lacks was such an interesting book. The parts about her family gave me real pause as I read about poverty in America and the science was fascinating (something I didn't expect)

  7. I loved Still Alice. I was fascinated by the way she put the reader into the mind of someone with Alzheimer's. It really is intriguing. I hope you enjoy it as well.

  10. Loved the Henrietta Lacks book. A lighter follow up might be Daughter of Smoke & Bone which is fantastic on audio.

    1. Henrietta Lacks was my serious audio after Daughter of Smoke and Bone (which I agree was fantastic). We must be going in reverse!
