I hope to finally finish Doctor Zhivago tomorrow. This book has been work! I'll be looking for a new audio as soon as I finish this post. We're leaving Saturday to spend a week in South Florida with my in-laws, so I'm looking forward to some warm temperatures and time away from work to get some reading done. I don't know what I'll read while I'm there, but I may take Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children to read on the plane. I just grabbed it on a whim at the library. I'll also be starting my new non-fiction pick, Manhunt: The Twelve-Day Chase for Lincoln's Killer. What are you reading this week?
I have an affiliate relationship with Malaprop's, my local independent bookstore located in beautiful downtown Asheville, NC; and Better World Books. I will receive a small commission at no cost to you if you purchase books through links on my site.

I really enjoyed Miss Peregrine's. The photos in it definitely add to its creepiness.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a great time in Florida!
ReplyDeleteHave a great reading week

Oooh, I'm going to check out your review of the Hillenbrand. There have been so many Lincoln books out recently but I'm almost sure Manhunt is the one I read. I really liked it and learned a lot.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week of reading! (and a nice vacation too!)
I got a copy of From Notthing Hill With Love...Actually and can't wait to read it. It looks like a cute read.
ReplyDeleteHave a good time in Florida...I'll be curious to see what you end up getting as far as audios. I'm driving from NY to NC next week and am on the hunt for some good audios myself!
Have a great week!

Hope you enjoyed The Dry Grass of August. I want to read Unbroken someday. I am glad you enjoyed it. I hope they will make a movie adaptation.
ReplyDeleteI loved Beautiful Creatures and read the sequel but didn't finish the series. Maybe I will sometime but I just didn't feel as invested as I did with the first book. I will probably see the movie when it is on DVD.
Looks like some good flight reading for you. Enjoy the warm temps...and your reading.
ReplyDeleteHere's MY MONDAY MEMES POST
I think, now don't quote me but I think, that Miss Peregrine's has been optioned for a movie already. I read it and liked it, but didn't love it enough for a movie you know?
