It's Monday!  What Are You Reading? is hosted by Sheila at Book Journey.

Posted:
Review: Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs--Delightfully quirky and creepy

Review: Apologies to My Censor: The High and Low Adventures of a Foreigner in China by Mitch Moxley: Fascinating, occasionally scary, and sometimes hilarious

Read:
Cover of Maisie Dobbs by Jacqueline Winspear
Maisie Dobbs by Jacqueline Winspear, read by Rita Barrington

Currently Reading:
NOS4A2 by Joe Hill

The Crowning Glory of Calla Lily Ponder by Rebecca Wells, read by Judith Ivey

The Princess and the Goblin by George MacDonald

Before You Know Kindness by Chris Bohjalian is on hold at the moment. I only have two weeks to get through the 686 pages of NOS4A2 and my lifelong librarian does not expect it to be a problem for me to do that. No pressure, right?

Up Next:
I really won't finish anything this week. My husband and I are heading to Williamsburg for a long weekend to celebrate both our birthdays. We're definitely planning to hit Busch Gardens while we're there. Any other recommendations for the area?

What are you reading this week?

I have an affiliate relationship with Malaprop's, my local independent bookstore located in beautiful downtown Asheville, NC; and Better World Books. I will receive a small commission at no cost to you if you purchase books through links on my site. My opinions are completely my own.

  1. I hate it when I only have a short amount of time to get through a doorstopper sized book. Good luck with NOS4A2!

I hope you have a happy birthday and wonderful trip! I've been wanting to go to Williamsburg. I love history and it sounds like a cool place.

  8. Some great picks, both Princess and the Goblin and Maisie Dobbs sound great. And I may have to check out Apologies to my Censor, I have relatives who lived in China for a year (job transfer)and it's quite a cultural difference. Have a great trip!
