Nonfiction Challenge hosted at The Introverted Reader

Please link your reviews for the Nonfiction Reading Challenge 2014 here. Looking for the "rules" or the sign up page? Click here or click on the button.

I'll track my progress here.
  1. Testimony: The Legacy of Schindler's List and the USC Shoah Foundation
  2. I Am Malala: The Girl Who Stood Up for Education and Was Shot by the Taliban by Malala Yousafzai and Christina Lamb
  3. How to Read Literature Like a Professor: A Lively and Entertaining Guide to Reading Between the Lines by Thomas C. Foster
  4. One Summer: America, 1927 by Bill Bryson, read by the author
  5. Under the Banner of Heaven: A Story of Violent Faith by Jon Krakauer
  6. Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris
  7. Lonely Planet Guide Hawaii--No, I didn't read every word, but I did read the parts that applied to me. That was about half. I'm counting it.
  8. Walden; or Life in the Woods by Henry David Thoreau
  9. Maus: A Survivor's Tale: My Father Bleeds History by Art Spiegelman (Re-read with a link to my old review)
  10. Maus II: A Survivor's Tale: And Here My Troubles Began by Art Spiegelman (Re-read with a link to my old review)
  11. This I Believe: The Personal Philosophies of Remarkable Men and Women, edited by Jay Allison and Dan Gediman
  12. Fun Home by Alison Bechdel
  13. The City of Falling Angels by John Berendt
Please link to the review and not your blog home page. My suggested format is the title of your blog and then the title of the book in parentheses. Example: The Introverted Reader (I Am Malala)

  4. I just finished "In the Name of God" which was a challenging but riveting book were it not for the intrusions by the author into the story. I'm currently reading "Things My Mother Gave Me". Looking forward to checking out some of the books reviewed here.

  11. Added a few more now. While I have been reading, keeping up with posting the reviews online has not been as easy. I do estimate I will move up to the next level. Best, and keep on blogging.

  13. Sorry, when entering my review which is number 228 on the list above, I forgot to include the title of the book in parentheses after my name. It's "Travels with Lucy".

  14. And I am wrapping up the challenge for the year. Yes, I know there are 12 days left from now until the end of the year, but I know I will not have all the reviews for all I read that could qualify for the challenge. In the end, I finished with 24 nonfiction books read and reviewed for the challenge. Looking forward to see what others share and to next year.

Happy holidays, and keep on reading.

  15. I was looking to see if there was a place to link wrap-up posts for the challenge and saw that somehow I had completely missed the part about linking up reviews, so I just did some catching up. :-) All together I read 25 non-fiction books, more than the 10-15 I had originally planned. Thanks for hosting, I enjoyed it!
