It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? hosted at Book Journey
The Sunday Post

It's Monday!  What Are You Reading? is hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. She's taking a bit of personal leave so I'm also linking to Kimberly at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

We had the pleasure of hosting one my (many) lovely aunts for a few days this week. She is always a joy to have around! We ate too much and laughed a lot and had a wonderful time. She's a reader too and she's currently raving about Orphan X by Greg Hurwitz. It isn't published until January, but keep an eye out for it!

As soon as my husband gets home from work today, we're heading out to the North Carolina Apple Festival. It's fairly small but we enjoy going. We always eat too much, but we also come home with some fresh, locally-grown apples. I like trying varieties I've never even heard of. Sheep's Nose apple, anyone?

One of my friends brought me a late birthday card this week. She's a reader and she found an absolutely perfect card. She calls it "The Reader's Blessing."

  2. The apple festival sounds like fun. I hope you had a good time!

I liked The Passion of the Purple Plumeria. It was nice to see Miss Gwen get her own story and a love interest. She is such a fun character. I have the final book checked out from the library but haven't read it yet.

  3. It is always so fun to catch up with family!

The apple festival sounds fun! Our apple tree in our front yard went insane this year - we had to prop its branches up, it is so heavily laden with fruit. It looks like a giant apple monster out there. We picked an apple from it yesterday and it was delicious! I have no idea what kind they are though. Lol. I don't think Sheep's Nose though. ;)
